portia de rossi, reese witherspoon, gwyneth paltrow, j.lo, cate blanchett, kate winslet were the best.. beyonce's sucked.. and j'hud's would've been better without the 'sci-fi' jacket... good looking all around sha... yes kirsten dunst looked horrible.. well at least her dress did.. i'm so glad j.hud won and forest whitaker.. i love alan arkin cos little miss sunshine rocked.. but i wish it was eddie murphy instead cos he rocked his socks off in dreamgirls!!!

LMAO!!!
@ confused, Yeah, I think Kristen Dunst sucked!!! I couldn't even put up a pix of K-Hud cos she sucked major as well... her dress was so unflattering! But I loooooved Penelope Cruz's dress as well as Portia Rossi's!

@ Overwhelmed, the second part of that last statement was for you!

I loved penelope's bodice but hated the bodice part. But she's on the best dressed list so i guess there must be something nice in all those feathery thingys all around her.

I love the post.I try to follow it, but i am in a place that lacks civilization.
I hate what Jada is wearing, actually the top.
Nicole, babe for life.
Beyonce is HIPPY (black chick).

Beyonce looked awful. I liked Hudson's dress wihout the weird jacket but the red number she wore to perform - fabulous. I am glad she won. Forest's speech was so nice. Jaden Smith is so cute and Will and Jada looked so proud. Helen Mirren looked amazing - so many mistakes though

Nice post...

@ Calabar gal, seriously, I loved penelope's dress, the bodice was lovely and the feathery things complimented the whole get-up but what I liked most was the colour of the dress. It seriously was good on her
@ stuck in my throat o:Thanks for visiting! I thought Jada's dress was a tad too simple, but dainty. Pity you're in a place that lacks civilization!
@ Uzo I'm sure you are glad J-Hud won! As for Beyonce- She didn't look her best, but I don't think she was that awful now, was she? lol!

Girl, you really have this covered. Thanks. I love Celine's Dress. Jada, thanks for giving me a new idea for a skirt. Nicole is always so chic!

By the way, you must really like Beyonce. She appeared more than once.

These people will make the price of satin and chiffon go up o!

this blogger is funny the comment i left yesterday disappeared.I think penelope's dress was lovely, reese is always a favourite,. beyonce was just there, jada,s outfit didnt suit her(she is too muscular for that oufit),maggie gylenhaal looked the best i have seen her.Jlo went for a more mature, classic look. Most of them looked lovely. I am happy j hud won, havent seen the movie but hear she was great, wish eddie murphy had won he has paid his dues.I think leonardo gave a great perfomance in blood diamonds. Unfortunately my dstv expired so I missed the show!

Thanks in my head! seriously, I have already given my tailor a print out of jada's skirt! and i do like beyonce... you guessed right- I think she's an overachiever!

@ chioma, thanks for your comments, I think Jada should stop her macro-boitic dieting or whatever it is that's making her soooo skinny and yeah, it would have been nice for eddy to win.. I also have to see dreamgirls!

I knew this would turn into a fashion party. Though i must say I was surprised that dreamgirls did not win best song despite having three nominations in the category. As far as the oscars go, I can't wait until people stop mentioning the race of the nominees every year a bunch of black folk get nominated. I think Jesse, Al and all the rest can put this burden down now.

lxI don't think Kirsten Dunst is the worst o. What about that black chick in the picture next to Queen Latifah? She is showing TOO much cleavage when there isn't much of a cleavage.

@ SNAZZY, you know what fashion means to us girls....I think everyone is racist to a certain degree... it only gets out of hand when one overdoes it...

@ stuck in my throat.. yeah yeah her dress was ouch!!!

@ Omodudu You likey?? Thanks for stopping by!

Jada is just too muscular!

I had hoped that Leonardo and Djimon (Blood Diamond) would do well, but there's no denying that Forrest Whittaker deserved to win (I haven't seen Little Miss Sunshine so don't know about Alan Arkin).

I'm glad that Helen Mirren and Jennifer Hudson won in their respective categories.

Thanks for the pics Nyemoni.

Nice one.

Girl you've got the whole event covered! LOL! I'm glad that Jennifer Hudson won the Oscar, I just hope she goes on to bigger and better things, and one day she might actually win in the "Best Actress" category! I'm getting tired of Beyonce, she just looks same-old-same-old (dress style, hair, pose).
Kate Winslet didn't wow me this time. Anika and Kirsten Durnst too flopped. I thought Penelope's dress was great though, it needs a sexy and confident person to carry it well and she did!

♥♫♪nyemoni♫♪♥ said...

@ April, thanks for stopping by... nad yeah, i'm glad J-Hud won!!!
@ favoured girl yeah, Beyonce looked pretty much the same...as for Anikas dress... it was terrible!
